DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III said the activity was line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to improve the agricultural sector in the countryside. It also aims to boost the lives of farmers in Region 1 (Ilocos).

Estrella led the issuance of land titles covering a total area of 216 hectares to ARBs from the municipalities of Santo Tomas, Tayug, Balungao, Mangatarem, Bolinao, and Burgos, and Urdaneta City.

Beneficiaries received Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs), emancipation patents (EPs), and computerized titles (c-titles).

On the other hand, 640 ARBs from 18 organizations in the province received a combined P8.67 million in farm machineries and equipment and inputs from the DAR.

These were distributed under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS), Linking Smallholder Farmers to Markets and Microfinance (LinkSFarMM), and Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program.

Estrella said they will continuously provide various support services to ARBs and bring government services closer to them.
