Two women slain in Bulacan on Christmas Day

A woman and her mother were stabbed to death by her live-in partner on Christmas Day in Purok 2, Mababang Lupa, Barangay San Agustin, Hagonoy, Bulacan.

Maj. Neil G. Cruzado, Hagonoy town police chief, identified the fatalities as Jenny Rose Lorenzo and her mother, Teresita Lorenzo Navarro.

The suspect, Boyet Cayetuna Panzo, 30, live-in-partner of Jenny Rose, also of the same village, was arrested by the police.

Teresita died on the spot due to 14 stab wounds in her body, while her daughter, Jenny Rose, succumbed to stab wounds on the arms and abdomen.

Police investigators said the tragic stabbing incident happened on Christmas day .

Probers learned from Emerita Lorenzo, sister of Teresita, that Panzo first went to their house on Dec. 21.

Emerita told the police the suspect threatened to kill them all after Jenny Rose broke up with Panzo who reportedly physically abused her every time he was drunk.

On Sunday evening, the suspect went back to the victim's house. After finding out that the gate and the door were locked, the suspect climbed to the roof and broke the windows to get inside.

The suspect, armed with a knife, stabbed Jenny Rose.

Teresita tried to pacify and stop the suspect but she was also stabbed several times.

The suspect was not able to escape as the neighbors, who heard the commotion, surrounded the house of the victims.

Police said that when they arrived at the place, the victims were all dead, while the suspect was dripping with blood while on the floor.

The police tried to rush him to the hospital but were all surprised when Panzo, who was pretending to be dead, tried to escape. The suspect was arrested.

Angry neighbors waiting outside the victims' house pounced on the suspect who is now facing two counts of murder and frustrated parricide for also wounding his 10-year-old child, the police said.
