400 kids in Quezon receive teddy bear as Christmas gift from scribes, mall

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – About 400 children from this province received a simple but adorable teddy bear under a project spearheaded by a popular mall here in cooperation with the Quezon Tri-Media Group (QTMG).

SM City-Lucena Assistant Manager Russel Alegre, employees, and managers, with QTMG members, distributed this Christmas gift in Barangay Mayuwi in Tayabas City and Barangay 4 in this city on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Recipients who were selected by barangay officials expressed joy when they received their gift which had the names of donors.

The “Bear of Joy” project had the theme "I-share ang ligaya ng Pasko kasama ang SM Bears of Joy."

This project of SM Cares was halted by the pandemic and revived this year.

"We want to extend love and joy to children who are in need through a very simple gesture which the shoppers can make," Alegre said.
