Two women will be welcoming the New Year in jail after they were arrested for suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Dec. 27.
Members of the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested the two suspects during an anti-illegal drug operations conducted along Damayan Area Zone 3 in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig at about 11 p.m.

The Taguig police identified the arrested suspects as May-Ann Enon, 28, and Susan Cantape, 33.
Seized in the operations were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 12.2 grams with a standard drug price of P82,960 and the P200 buy-bust money.
The recovered pieces of evidence were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis while a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,) will be filed against the suspects.
