Seventeen member The 8 to miss concert in Jakarta due to health reasons

K-pop boy band Seventeen member The 8 will not be participating in the group’s world tour in Jakarta, Indonesia scheduled on Dec. 28.

In a notice, Pledis Entertainment announced on Dec. 27 that The 8 is sick and will not be participating in the concert.

“We would like to inform you that SEVENTEEN Member THE 8 will not be able to participate in the SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR - JAKARTA Concert,” the agency said.

It added, “THE 8 visited the hospital as he was experiencing flu symptoms, received treatment and is currently resting as per to the medical staff’s advice.”

“Although the artist himself expressed his strong wish to participate in the event, placing the medical staff’s advice and our artist’s health as a top priority, it has been decided that he will not be attending the Jakarta concert on Wednesday, the 28th (Indonesia Time),” Pledis Entertainment added.

It said, “We ask our fans who have awaited this concert for your kind consideration. We will do our best to aid in THE 8’s treatment and recovery so that he can return in full health to his fans as quickly as possible.”

Seventeen recently held the world tour at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan province on Dec. 17.
