ICTSI acquires Marubeni Corporation's 20% share in BIPI

IWI Container Terminal Holdings, Inc. (IWICTHI), a wholly owned subsidiary of ICTSI, disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange that it acquired Murubeni Corporation’s 20 percent share in Bauan International Port Inc. (BIPI) for P507.407 million. The company entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Japanese company, Marubeni Corporation, for the acquisition of the latter’s 2,050,000 shares in BIPI for P507.407 million on Dec. 23, 2022.
BIPI operates the Bauan terminal, approximately 120 kilometers south of Manila and nine kilometers west of Batangas City. The terminal supports cargo movements in and out of the Cavite-Laguna- Batangas-Rizal-Quezon area (CALABARZON).
