A man yielded P340,000 worth of alleged shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) in Barangay Bagong Silang, Caloocan City on Saturday, Dec. 24.
Col. Ruben Lacuesta, city police chief, identified the suspect as Monis Jovanie Vanie Borce, 42, a resident of Barangay Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
According to the police report, an informant reported the illegal drug activities of the suspect to the CCPS.
Operatives of the CCPS and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office- National Capital Region (RO-NCR) conducted the joint buy-bust operation at 5:40 p.m. at Phase 10 B, Kalayaan St., Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
The suspect was arrested after selling a medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of alleged shabu to Cpl. Joseph Cruz, who posed as a drug buyer.
Two pieces of medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 50 grams of suspected shabu were recovered from the suspect. It has a market value of P340,000.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
