After emphasizing the spirit of love and hope this holiday season, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. renewed his call for unity as Filipinos celebrate Christmas.

In a video message, Marcos, in wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, hoped that Filipinos find the true meaning of Christ's birth.
"Nawa'y maging daan ito upang higit tayong manalig sa Poong Maykapal (I hope this will be the way for us to have faith in God even more)," he said.
"Dalangin ko rin po na ang pangako ng isang maginhawa at magandang kinabukasan ay makapagbigay ng pag-asa sa bawat Pilpino (I pray that the promise of a comfortable and pleasant future will bring hope to every Filipino)," he added.

Marcos hoped that Filipino would work together to make this promise a reality.
"Manalig po tayo na sa ating pagtutulungan, matutupad natin ang pangakong ito. Higit sa lahat, buksan natin ang ating mga puso sa diwa ng pagkakaisa (Let us pray that as we help one another, we will fulfill this promise. Most of all, let us open our hearts to the spirit of unity)," he said.
"Nawa'y ang ligaya at saya nitong Pasko ang siyang maging bukal ng lakas upang patuloy tayong magsikap para sa ikabubuti ng ating minamahal na bansang Pilipinas (I hope that the happiness that Christmas brings will serve as the spring of strength for us to continue persevering to for our beloved Philippines)," he added.
Meanwhile, in a separate video message, the President and his family urged Filipinos to be grateful for the blessings they have received this year.
"Gaya ng kalusugan, kabuhayan at higit sa lahat pamilya (Like health, livelihood, and most of all, family)," First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos said.
Ilocos Norte First District Representative Sandro Marcos said Filipinos would go far as long as they work together.
"Para sa tuloy-tuloy na pagbangon. Para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino (For our continued recovery. For every Filipino family)," brothers Simon and Vinny said.
