A woman was arrested by the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel for allegedly trying to sneak drugs into the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa on Dec. 23.
According to the Muntinlupa police, suspect Maria Cristina Antonio, 50, was caught by BuCor personnel at the frisking area of the Inmate Visitation Service Unit of the NBP Maximum Security Compound at about 7:10 p.m. on Dec. 23.

Confiscated from Antonio was a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 150 grams with a value of P1.02 million.
On Dec. 24, BuCor turned over Antonio to the Muntinlupa police for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Authorities are preparing to file a complaint against the suspect.
