Having a complete family trumps everything, says solon in Christmas message

For Bulacan 6th district Rep. Salvador Pleyto, no material possession can compare to having a complete family this holiday season.

This was the gist of the neophyte congressman's message to his Facebook followers on Christmas eve, Saturday, Dec. 24.

Pleyto delivered such poignant message while delivering a clever pun using his name.

"Sa araw na ito ng kapaskuhan, wala akong ibang panalangin at hangad kundi ang bawat isang pamilya ay maging masaya at sama-sama. Sa diwang ito, walang materyal na bagay ang makahihigit sa pagkakaroon ng isang pamilyang buo at kumPLEYTO. (I have no other wish this Christmas day than for every family to be happy and be together. In this spirit, no material thing can match having a family that's complete)," he wrote.

"Panatilihin nawa natin ang pagmamahalan at pagtutulungan hindi lamang ngayong Pasko kundi sa lahat ng oras at panahon. (Let us keep loving and helping each other not just on Christmas day but on all times and seasons)," he added.

Pleyto further reminded his followers what Christmas was all about: the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.

Pleyto is a former undersecretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
