More than P230,000 'shabu' seized in Valenzuela buy-bust

A man yielded a total of P238,000 worth of alleged shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Valenzuela City on Friday, Dec. 23

The Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) identified the suspect as Jerome Tan Luangco, 42, a resident of Bonbon Ville Ugong, Valenzuela City.

According to VCPS, they launched an entrapment operation along Serapio St. in Gen T. De Leon, Valenzuela City, at about 8:40 a.m. on Friday, as part of the SAFE campaign.

SAFE is a campaign launched by National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) which means the police must be “Seen, Appreciated and Felt by the people through Extraordinary actions." It seeks to secure the safety and protection of communities against criminal activities.

VCPS said they recovered from the suspect seven pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 35 grams of suspected shabu,

The suspect will face charges for violations of Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution, and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), police said.
