Let's talk about Mindy Chen's looks in 'Emily in Paris' season 3

After a year since its sophomore season ended, “Emily in Paris” is back again for its third installment on Netflix, serving idyllic scenes of beautiful locations in France, romantic dramas, and, of course, a bucketload of style courtesy of the show’s ensemble. Leading the uber-stylish show is Emily Copper, played by actress Lily Collins, a marketing executive hailed from Chicago juggling her life, love, and work in Paris while looking like someone straight out of a runway show. While her outfits on the show are loved—and hated—by many, she is not the only one who is serving many style inspirations to anyone dreaming to live a life in Paris.

Enter her best friend, Mindy Chen, portrayed by Ashley Park. In the current season, we see more of the former heiress to a zipper manufacturer fortune in China as she works her way to fulfilling her dream to be a singer. While she is broke and pushed to live with Emily as her roommate, Mindy’s spirit was never shaken. She continues to be one of the logical characters in the show with good humor to match. She is also not shy about her fashion, which is always bold and statement-making. 

We bet you’re wondering how could someone who sings on the street be able to afford such a lavish wardrobe. In an interview with WWD, Ashley gives an answer to Mindy manages to look stunning with her current lifestyle. 

“Mindy lived in Paris a whole year before she met Emily, and I imagine she’s met people, friends, and young designers who want to give her things,” the actress told WWD. “She has the hookup.” Also, let's not forget about her time in boarding school. For someone with her background, she definitely packed designer goods during her college days. And when she ditched her family, she left everything except for those chic goodies. “She went to business school with that wardrobe and did not give it back,” she added.
