Clark International Airport (CRK) is ready for the expected influx of passengers for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Still, it has not maximized its eight million passenger capacity per annum, according to CRK operator, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD).
To date, it has only accommodated 780,000 passengers.
Last November, CRK took in 85,000 passengers, 77 percent of them international.
This December, CRK has already received 102,000 passengers, with 75 percent international passengers.
The four-level terminal is on an area of 110,000 square meters.
Located 80 kilometer northwest of Metro Manila, CRK is an hour and a half drive from the capital.
For commuting passengers, it has point to point (P2P) services to and from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Trinoma, Dau, and Baguio City operated by Genesis Transport Services. Victory Liner also operates P2P services to and from Dagupan and Olongapo.
Passengers at CRK spend less time on queues and go through a one-time security check with contactless systems.
They can avail of holistic aviation hospitality services – Plaza Premium Lounge and ALLWAYS (Airport Meet & Assist services).
CRK has a lounge for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), genderless comfort rooms and gender-neutral toilets.
There are elevators and escalators in each boarding gate – making the terminal accessible to all.
