Olsen Racela will no longer be calling the shots for the Far Eastern University men’s basketball team, the school announced on Thursday, Dec. 22.

The 52-year-old tactician, who led the Tamaraws to four Final Four appearances, has parted ways with the team after five seasons.

“Coach Olsen Racela is stepping down as Head Coach of the FEU Tamaraws Men's Basketball Team. Coach Olsen led the team to four UAAP Final Four appearances in 5 seasons,” the Facebook post wrote.

“We thank Coach Olsen for guiding our Tamaraws with class and for always instilling the proper values.”

Racela had a frustrating final season with FEU which he deemed as a "season of inconsistencies."

The Tamaraws started their campaign with five straight losses, their worst start of the season in almost a decade which was followed by some more disappointing losing streaks.

In the end, there was not much to do as FEU ended its season with a 5-9 record at the seventh spot.
