Entertainment shows outside the municipal hall of Binangonan, Rizal have been bringing Christmas cheers to the public, courtesy of the local government.
A series of amateur singing contest “videoke” style dubbed as “Christmas Carol-oke” happened from Dec. 19 to 21 for kids, teens and adults categories.
Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares told Manila Bulletin that the singing contest was participated in by talented Binangonan residents, entertaining the public who during the past two years were deprived of watching shows outside their homes due to pandemic restrictions.
The municipal hall compound was filled with people, young and old alike, specially on Dec. 21, the last night of the series of shows as several bands such as the New Direction, Swap, Roots By Herb, Jan C Beatsl 1922, and other guest bands performed live before the audience starting at 6 p.m.
The office of Mayor Cesar Ynares said the entertainment shows were presented by the All Binangonan Artists Association, Binangonan Tourism, and the municipal government.
The performers staged their acts beside the revolving giant Christmas Tree made of recycled materials.
