Five drug pushers nabbed in separate buy-bust operation in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY -- Five drug suspects were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation here on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

The arrested were identified as Alwin Camacho, 39, Stephen Galande, 21, Ronald Dean Magallanes, 23, Justine Kirby Cousins, 19, and a 15-year-old male minor.

They are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

In Barangay Camp 7, suspect Camacho was arrested by the joint operatives of BCPO Kennon Road Police Station (PS8) and BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) after he sold one sachet of shabu weighing more or less 0.6 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P4,080.

In Brgy. Loakan Proper suspects Galande, Magallanes, and a 15-year-old male minor were arrested by the joint operatives of BCPO Loakan Police Station (PS4) and BCPO DEU after they sold one plastic sachet containing three grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P360.

The inventories of the pieces of evidence recovered were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), media, and elected barangay officials.

The suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of their respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition.
