Emperador posts higher sales in US, Canada

Emperador Inc. reported that its flagship product posted higher sales in North America this year due to increased distribution, visibility, and availability.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the firm said Emperador Brandy sales by value in United States and Canada have increased by 28 percent this year compared to the sales by value generated in 2021.

Currently, Emperador Brandy products are available at various off-premise establishments across North America.

Emperador Light, for example, is available in 229 outlets of Albertsons, an American grocery company founded and headquartered in Boise, Idaho. It is the second largest supermarket chain in North America with over 2,200 stores.

Meanwhile, Emperador Light, Emperador Solera, Emperador Gold Limited Edition, Emperador Red and Emperador Hotshot are available in 27 stores of Seafood City across the United States.

Seafood City is a big supermarket chain headquartered in Pomona, California with branches in California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada and Washington.

These are also available in 10 stores of 99 Ranch Market, a Taiwanese -American supermarket chain based in Buena Park, California, and in 89 outlets of Total Wine & More across Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Texas and California.

Emperador Red, likewise, is available in 76 stores of BevMo!, the number one specialty beverage retailer in the West Coast. BevMo! stores are located throughout California, Arizona, Washington as well as online.

“Emperador brandy products have increasingly become ubiquitous in these parts of North America,” said Emperador International CEO Glenn Manlapaz.

He added that, “This is in line with our relentless efforts of globalization while making Emperador Brandy a household name in other parts of the world. After performing well this year, we expect Emperador Brandy sales in North America to be even stronger in 2023.”

Emperador Brandy is owned by Emperador Inc., which is a global spirits conglomerate focused on brandy and whisky. Emperador Inc. also owns Whyte and Mackay, the world’s fifth largest Scotch whisky producer.

Apart from Emperador brandy, Emperador’s portfolio of iconic brands also includes Fundador Brandy, The Dalmore, Jura, and Tamnavulin Single Malt Scotch whiskies. These products are available in more than 100 countries across the globe.
