9th most wanted in Batangas nabbed

Police have arrested the ninth most wanted person in Batangas in Barangay Escribano, San Juan, Batangas.

Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) director Col. Pedro Soliba identified the suspect as Richard Berania alias “Bala,” 35.

Berania was arrested on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 87, Rosario, Batangas on July 4, 2022, for homicide with bail of P120,000.

The suspect is allegedly a member of one of the Ronald Real gun-for-hire group and tagged in the killing of Jerry Manimtim, 40, on Jan. 16, 2022 in Barangay Escribo.

Solida lauded the arrest of the suspect.

"We can see through such accomplishment the importance of our strengthened and good relationship with the community, which was developed through our barangay information network and assets as part of our intelligence operation. With the arrest of the suspect, justice will be given to his victims," Soliba said.
