Woman yields P176,000 shabu in Taguig sting

A 36-year-old woman will be spending Christmas in jail after she was arrested by the Southern Police District (SPD) in a buy-buy operation in Taguig.

The SPD said its District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) with the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) conducted the sting operation along J. Ramos Street in Barangay Ibayo, Tipas in Taguig on Dec. 19.

The suspect was identified as Jelly Ann Mae Tanyag who yielded two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 26 grams valued at P176,800. The police also seized a P500 bill used a buy-bust money.

Tanyag was brought to the SPD-DDEU office for documentation. She will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
