Some employees of the San Juan City Hall and San Juan Medical Center (SJMC) are set to receive financial incentives from the city government for their service to the city and the community.
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced on Wednesday, Dec. 21, that all permanent, casual, job order, and contractual employees of the city hall and SJMC, who are serving the city for more than four years before Oct. 31, 2022 and are currently still in service until the said date, will receive Economic Welfare Assistance (EWA) on Friday, Dec. 23.
Zamora said that the city has a total of 1,255 permanent, contractual, and casual employees, while Job Order employees are said to be at 656.
"Binibigay natin ang EWA upang makatulong sa ating mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng San Juan na matugunan ang kanilang pangangailangan at bilang pasasalamat at gantimpala sa kanilang maayos at tapat na paglilingkod sa mga San Juaneño (We are giving the EWA to help the employees of the city government of San Juan meet their needs and as our way of showing our gratitude for their loyal and exceptional service to San Juaneños)," he added.
