Twenty four individuals were arrested in Quezon City Police District (QCPD)'s latest round-the-clock operations.
On campaign against illegal drugs, at least 19 individuals were arrested by the different stations and units of QCPD.
Among the arrested suspects were Margarita Garcia Moreno, 24, and Romeo Orario Pineda, 67, both residents of Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City; Arnold Gamac, 33, resident of Brgy. Paltok, Quezon City; Eduardo Buna, 28, resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City; Marlon Cruz Medina alias “Dong”, 48 and Ed Joseph Bilbao Labajo, 31, both residents of Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City; Rufo Edrial Ogena, 26 and Dan Mark Reyes Descutido, 26, both residents of Sta Mesa, Manila; Anthony Baya Suerte, 23; Valentino Reyes Mendoza, 32; and Orlando De Guzman Sumbilon, 39, all residents of Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City; Esmeralda Sorbeto Pelayo, 40, resident of Brgy. Payatas B, Quezon City; and Ryan Makasiab Concepcion, 32, resident of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Police also apprehended Adrian Nonato, 23, resident of Brgy. San Agustin, Quezon City; Jaymar Ortega, 27, resident of Brgy. Sauyo, Quezon City; Christian Barquilla, 18, resident of Brgy. Parada, Valenzuela City; Kalvin Caunan, 29 and Rene Bustos, 62, both residents of Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City; and Ronis Palatao, 57, resident of Brgy. Molave, Payatas, Quezon City.
The suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
Five individuals were also arrested in QCPD's campaign against wanted persons.
Arrested were Rachel Arnel Cursame Tating, 21, resident of Brgy. Sta. Monica, Novaliches, Quezon City for Violation of R.A. 9003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000; Rodelyn Pulangas Lagrimas, 28, resident of Brgy. Krus Na Ligas, Quezon City for Violation of City/Municipal Ordinance No. 730, S-2019; Ralph Lauren Caymo Duran, 36, a resident of Del Nacio Drive, Talipapa, Quezon City; Salvador Lachica, 35, resident of Brgy. Gaya-Gaya, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; and Angelo Samson, 32, resident of Casa Asuncion, Brgy. Bagumbong, Caloocan City for violation of R.A. 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act.
QCPD Director Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre, meanwhile, reiterated that anti-criminality operations in the city will remain relentless.
