ILOILO CITY – More than 1,000 volunteers joined the Philippine National Police (PNP) led by Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. in the “Lakad Konta Droga” in Iloilo City on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

“I hope that today’s activity brings meaningful experience for all of you by coming together as one as one community in taking a stand against illegal drugs. We are sending a powerful message that we are committed in creating a brighter, healthier future for all of us,” said Azuin.

Policemen from various units of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 – the Antique Police Provincial Office, Capiz Police Provincial Office, Guimaras Police Provincial Office, Iloilo Police Provincial Office, and the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) – also joined the event.

“We must unite and do our own share in this journey with a firm determination to end illegal drugs in the country,” added Azurin.

“The goal of this campaign is to mobilize, arouse, organize, support, and inspire people, especially the youth to act against drug abuse,” said Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco, PRO-6 director.
