MPT South gears up for 2022 Holiday Rush

Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) goes on high alert for the 10-15 percent holiday traffic surge on its two concession expressways, the Manila- Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), including its C5 Link segment, plus the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).

The tollway operator is implementing its motorist assistance program, “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” (STMSK), traditionally mobilized during holiday peaks across its high-speed road networks.

For CAVITEX and C5 Link, the company's motorist assistance program will be executed with joint-venture partner Philippine Reclamation Authority, through its operating subsidiary, PEA Tollways Corporation (PEATC).

Under the STMSK program, towing service for Class 1 vehicles is free up to the nearest exit, starting 6AM, December 23, 2022 until 6AM, December 26, 2022 and 6AM of January 1, 2023 until 6AM of January 3, 2023.

In addition, the operator will intensify 24/7 customer service and augment additional manpower on grounds, such as RFID lane assist, ambulant tellers in cash lane, and traffic operations personnel.

Emergency medical service and incident response team will be on standby 24/7.

During this peak traffic period, construction works along the main line will be suspended, except for emergency repairs.

MPT South is also rewarding its loyal motorists through the MPTC-wide raffle promo ‘Download, Drive, and Win.’

The promo is open to all individual prepaid Class 1, 2, and 3 expressway users of CAVITEX, CAVITEX C5 Link, CALAX, NLEX, SCTEX, and CCLEX.

To join the raffle, motorists have to Download MPTC’s latest digital app- MPT Drive Hub.

The app allows tracking of passages, calculation of toll fees, and monitoring of traffic conditions of MPTC expressways. Motorists may also request roadside assistance or send inquiries/feedback through the app.

A couple of raffle winners will get a brand-new MG ZS and ten winners will have P10,000 each.

“We are after the safety and smooth passage of our motorists 365 days of the year, and we are grateful for their patronage all these years," remarked MPT South President and General Manager, Raul L. Ignacio.

MPT South is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).

Aside from the CALAX and CAVITEX network of toll roads, MPTC’s domestic portfolio includes the concessions for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the NLEX Connector Road, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Cebu.
