The provincial government of Bulacan was recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its excellence and mastery in public service resilience during the 2022 Gawad Timpukan Central Luzon on Monday, Dec. 19, at the Widus Hotel, Clark, Pampanga.
The DILG conferred five awards to the Provincial Government of Bulacan including the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children, Local Council for the Protection of Children, Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program 2021, Local Government Support Fund-Conditional Matching Grants to Province 2021, and the Seal of Good Local Governance.
Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro received the awards from the DILG.
Fernando said the award is a great honor for the province and it was achieved because of the effort of the employees and the department heads.
"Sa mga Bulakenyo, congratulations po kasama po kayo sa nagtrabaho dito. (To Bulakenyos congratulations, you're with us in working for this)," Fernando said.
The cities of San Jose Del Monte and Baliwag, and the towns of Balagtas, Guiguinto, Plaridel, and Pulilan also received the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund.
DILG Undersecretary Mario L. Iringan said that the hard work of every local government unit led them to recognize and present different awards to different outstanding local and regional top performers.
The Gawad Timpukan Central Luzon is the country's program that recognizes excellence and champions of public service resilience from different barangays, municipalities, cities, and provinces nationwide.
