CAMP BGEN. VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A member of the Communist Terrorist Group surrendered to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion’s 404th Maneuver Company on Thursday, Dec. 1.
RMFB4A identified the rebel as ‘Ka SK/Rosgen’ of Platun 1, Sentro de Gabridad Guerilla Front Narciso, Southern Region Military Area 4A who operates in the provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Northern Quezon.
He turned-in a Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver, ammunition and subversive documents upon his surrender.
Police Regional Office 4a director Brigadier General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the RMFB 405th Maneuver Company for facilitating the voluntary surrender of ‘Ka SK/Rosgen.’
The ex-CTG member was received at the headquarters of the 405th Company at Barangay Anoling in Gen. Nakar, Quezon on December 1, 2022.
His surrender was facilitated by RMFB4A, Regional Intelligence Division 4A and Regional Intelligence Unit-4A, with the support of Quezon Intelligence Unit and General Nakar Municipal Police Station and the Philippine Army.
The rebel signified his intention of turning back against the CTG and return to the folds of the government.
His surrender was the result of an intensified tactical operations and community engagement activities of RMFB4A in support of Executive Order No. 70 to convince CTG members in the region to lay down their arms and live a peaceful life back into the mainstream society.
His paper is in the process of documentation for his enrollment to the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) to avail of the government incentives to help them start anew.
“Another victim from the shackles of the deceptive lies of the CPP-NPA-NDF was rescued. I am grateful that our efforts and hardships in our campaign against CTGs are bearing productive results,” said Nartatez.
“We must continue our efforts in implementing the E.O. 70 -- the NTF-ELCAC to save many lives especially those who were victimized by the false ideology which was imparted to the innocent minds of the fellow Filipino people,” said Nartatez.
“Sa mga kababayan natin nalinlang ng makakaliwang grupo na nais ng magbagong buhay at nahihirapan na sa walang saysay na pakikibaka sa mga kabundukan, ang inyong kapulisan sa PRO CALABARZON ay malugod kayong tatanggapin. Huwag na kayong maniwala sa mga karahasan, kayo ay makakaasa na ang inyong pagbabalik loob ay dadaan sa tamang proseso at mahigpit na pagsunod sa paggalang ng karapatan pantao,” added Nartatez.
