Geje Eustaquio to showcase 'Gravity 101' vs Hu Yong

Expect a refined version of Geje Eustaquio once he takes on Chinese foe Hu Yong on Saturday in ONE: 164 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Geje Eustaquio of Team Lakay (ONE Championship)

Eustaquio, a former ONE flyweight champion, will be returning to mixed martial arts action after two years of hiatus.

"I want you guys to expect that I will push the pace. I will show you a Gravity 101 version of mine. It's been a long time and I'm very excited to showcase a new style," said Eustaquio, who owns a 14-8 record.

Yong, for his part, believes that a caliber of Eustaquio is just a stepping stone for him to make a name in the flyweight.

At some point during the ONE: 164 pre press conference, the beef was on as the Team Lakay stalwart responded, "That was bad. I ain't a stepping stone."

Prior to his bout against Yong, the 33-year-old Eustaquio has taken down the likes of Toni Tauru and Song Min Jong to ride on a two-match win streak since November 2019.

The former ONE flyweight champion, despite being inactive in 2021, believes that he's in his hundred percent form and ready to rumble come fight night.

He earlier bared that his veteran experience will also become his weapon against a much younger foe in Yong.

The Chinese warrior has a 9-4 slate but he recently sustained a unanimous decision loss against Yuya Wakamatsu last December 2021.
