Cloudy weekend ahead with chance of rain showers over parts of PH — PAGASA

The shear line—an area where warm and cold air meet—may continue to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the eastern part of the country this weekend, according to the weekly weather outlook of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released on Friday, Dec. 2.
Until Sunday, Dec. 4, PAGASA said the eastern part of the country will be cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated passing light rains.
From Monday to Tuesday, Dec. 5 to 6, PAGASA said Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the oscillation of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
It said that the eastern part of Luzon will have cloudy weather with light rains, while the rest of Luzon will have mostly cloudy skies with possible passing light rains.
By Wednesday until Thursday, Dec. 7 to 8, PAGASA said Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains.
By Friday, Dec. 9, it said the eastern section of Luzon and Visayas will have cloudy skies with light rains, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with passing light rains.
