Senior citizens in Bulacan get early Christmas gifts

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro led the early distribution of Christmas gifts to senior citizens in Tahanang Mapagpala ng Immaculada Concepcion during the “Pamaskong Handog para sa Institusyon” in Brgy. Bulihan, City of Malolos on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Fernando and Castro were with Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) head Rowena Joson Tiongson and Provincial Public Affairs Officer chief Katrina Anne B. Balingit when they handed over bags of groceries to the senior citizens.

A Christmas gift-giving was also held at the Brothers of Mercy in Brgy. Bonga Mayor, Bustos, also in the province of Bulacan, on the same day.

The top provincial leaders listened to the stories of the senior citizens in the home for the aged while the bags of groceries were being distributed.

Both the Tahanang Mapagpala ng Immaculada and the Brothers of Mercy aim to provide shelter and care to the neglected, poor, and disadvantaged senior citizens of Bulacan.
