Nueva Ecija police nab five wanted persons, one drug pusher, seize 15 loose firearms


NUEVA ECIJA -- Police operatives arrested a drug pusher and five wanted persons including top two most wanted in Gen. Tinio town, and seized shabu and 15 firearms during anti-criminality operations in this province, a report said on Sunday, Dec. 18.

Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office officer-in-charge Col. Richard V Caballero said that a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Llanera Municipal Police Station in Brgy. San Vicente in Llanera town resulted in the arrest of a drug pusher and confiscation of 0.10 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1,500.

The suspect whose name was withheld will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).

In Gen. Tinio town a wanted person accused of estafa with recommended bail of P144,000 was arrested in Barangay Poblacion Central by operatives of Gen Tinio Police.

Four more wanted persons were also arrested by Talugtog Police for (estafa), San Isidro Police for (rape), Quezon Police for (violation of city/municipal Ordinance No. 19-073), and Guimba police (simple slander).

The suspects whose names were also not provided are now under the custody of the operating units.

Meanwhile, 15 loose firearms were voluntarily surrendered to Talugtug Police (Cal. 22 pistol), Talavera Police (Homemade Cal. 38), Cuyapo (Cal. 38 revolver), Pantabangan Police (Smith and Wesson Cal. 38, revolver), Gen. Tinio MPS (22 Rifle), Laur Police (shotgun 12 GA homemade), Muñoz City Police (Cal. 9mm paltik), Sta. Rosa Police (homemade cal. 38 revolver), Gabaldon Police (Smith and Wesson Cal. 38 revolver), Nampicuan Police (Cal. 38 revolver), Bongabon Police (cal. 38 revolver), Llanera Police (Cal. 38 revolver), Zaragoza Police (homemade cal .38 revolver), Cabiao Police (cal .38 revolver), and Carranglan Police (Cal. 22 revolver).

The surrender was in connection with the Balik-Baril Program of the Philippine National Police.

“These operational accomplishments are clear indicators of the consistency and commitment of our police force in eradicating all forms of criminality in line of the Mantra of our PNP Chief ‘Life is beautiful, Kaligtasan nyo Sagot ko,’ said Col. Caballero in response to a directive of Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen, acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3.
