ILOILO CITY – Mayor Jerry Treñas has lifted the 12 midnight limit on public sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in this city.

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas issued Executive Order No. 49-B over the weekend scrapping EO 49-A he issued last Dec. 6 after two groups of young men were involved in a melee in a bar in Mandurriao last Dec. 3.
The incident went viral as videos and photos were uploaded on social media sites.
EO 49-A affected the sales of some restaurants and bars.
Trenas lifted the order after meeting the Iloilo Bar Owners Association (IBOA) on Dec. 14.
Members of the IBOA assured Treñas and the city government’s Task Force on Moral and Values Formation (TFMVF) that they will boost their security to avoid similar incidents.
