Marcos confident of Pascual's 'wholehearted' service to PH

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. expressed confidence that Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual will continue his "wholehearted service" to the country as the latter is reappointed to his position.

The Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) said this after Marcos administered Pascual's oath on Friday, December 16.

The OPS shared photos of the event on its Facebook page.

"Kumpiyansa ang Pangulo sa patuloy ng pagganap ni Sec. Pascual ng kanyang tungkulin nang may buong puso para sa bayan (The President is confident that Secretary Pascual will continue his wholehearted service to the nation)," it wrote.

Pascual, a former University of the Philippines (UP) president, was bypassed twice by the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).

He was first named as Trade Secretary by Marcos in May this year following the latter's victory in the 2022 polls.
