P850,000 shabu seized in Negros buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and 125 grams of shabu valued at P850,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental on Thursday, Dec. 15.

The Police Regional Office 7 identified the suspect as Charlito Lado Jr., 40, of Barangay Tugas, Tanjay City.

Also recovered from the suspect were the marked money and P60,000 believed to be proceeds from his illegal activity.

The confiscated shabu is part of the P8-million drug haul of the PRO 7 this week.

PRO 7 director Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba has warned those who continue to challenge the law.

Alba reminded police that while they have made considerable gains in the supply reduction efforts, they need to sustain the momentum through the relentless pursuit of the remaining drug groups and personalities operating in Central Visayas.

“Hindi po kami titigil sa paghahabol sa inyo (We won’t stop going after you),” Alba warned.
