The Ospital ng Parañaque 2 (OsPar 2) has been allowed by the Department of Health (DOH) to operate as a Level 1 hospital.
Mayor Eric Olivarez congratulated the team of OsPar 2 headed by Dr. Patrick Ismael Cruz II for securing compliance certificates from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the hospital radiology and pharmacy units.
The mayor said the city government is looking forward for the formal opening of OsPar2 as Level 1 hospital.
Olivarez said OsPa2’s license to operate as Level 1 hospital from by the DOH is a landmark for the city.
He said the city has already two fully staffed and fully operational public hospitals – one for each of the congressional districts – boosting the healthcare delivery system.
The mayor also said that since these two facilities are wholly funded by the city government, the hospital staffs have been assured of an increase in operating budget in order to provide quality health care to the city residents.
Olivarez said the OsPar 2 located at Doña Soledad, Parañaque City was built at the peak of Covid-19 pandemic. It was used as an isolation facility and a vaccination site against the disease.
He said the city government is also working to get accreditation from Philhealth and Malasakit Center to ensure that poor city residents will have all the support they need when they seek medical attention.
