K-pop idol groups Seventeen and Super Junior will be holding their concerts today, Dec. 17, in the Philippines.
Seventeen’s “Be The Sun” concert
Seventeen will hold their “Be The Sun” world tour for the third time in the country at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, touted as the biggest indoor arena in the world with an estimated capacity of 55,000.
The Bulacan leg is the second to the last concert for “Be The Sun” this year. Seventeen will also hold the concert in Jakarta, Indonesia on Dec. 28 at the Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium.
Pledis Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced last October that an additional concert will be held in the Philippines.
Seventeen held their “Be The Sun” in Manila concert on Oct. 8 and 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Just like the Manila show, Seventeen’s Bulacan concert will showcase tracks that have never been presented before on stage and the group’s units.
A stage set that visualizes the Sun, a 3-tiered LED screen and diverse transitions in the set arrangement have been incorporated into the show to fully capture the level of energy to be unleashed after the long wait.
The Seventeen “Be The Sun” world tour in Bulacan is presented by Live Nation Philippines.
Super Junior in Manila
Meanwhile, Super Junior will hold their “Super Show 9: Road in Manila” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Dec. 17 (6 p.m.) and 18 (5 p.m.).
Super Junior marked their 17th anniversary recently, making them one of the longest-running K-pop idol groups in the industry.
They first held their “Super Show 2” show in Manila in 2010 to become the first K-pop group to hold a full-scale concert in the country.
The “Super Show 9” is Super Junior’s ninth installment of the iconic tour to mark the release of their album “The Road.”
Super Junior’s “Super Show 9: Road in Manila” is presented by SM Entertainment, Label SJ, Dream Maker Entertainment Ltd., Pulp Live World, and Happee Hour.
