The Pasay City government celebrated Christmas with around 150 children through Pamaskong Handog on Dec. 13.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government’s Pamaskong Handog for children or the “Batang Masaya- Pamaskong Handog” was held at the Artist Ballroom of The Heritage Hotel.
Rubiano said the activity was packed with fun and laughter for the children who attended the “Batang Masaya-Pamaskong Handog”.
“Today, we celebrate with our children. Sana makita natin ang (I hope we will see the) Christmas season through their eyes, ano po (right?)? Where everything is colorful, everyone is happy. That's the true spirit of Christmas, di po ba (isn't that right)? And syempre (of course), the true reason for the season -- our Lord Jesus Christ,” Rubiano said in her Facebook post.
The mayor said the children were also given gift packs and vitamins to 7,622 toddlers studying in the city's the day care centers.
She said the 12 day care center were also given UV lights during rites held at the Malibay Plaza on Dec. 14.
