Over P250,000 worth of shabu, marijuana seized in QC buy-busts

Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized P254,280 worth of alleged shabu and marijuana from seven men in a series of buy-bust operations from Thursday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 16.

QCPD Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) nabbed two suspects at about 4:45 a.m. on Friday on Republic Ave. in Brgy. Holy Spirit.

Lt. Col. Alex Alberto, PS 14 station commander, identified the suspects as Audrey Justin Fulong, 21, resident of Brgy. Holy Spirit Quezon City, and John France Baulos, 19, of Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

According to PS 14 Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), the buy-bust operation was conducted after an informant reported the illegal drug trade of Fulong and Baulos.

Police recovered more or less two kilos of marijuana valued at P240,000, a unit of a Honda Dash motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, five other drug suspects were also arrested in three separate entrapment operations in the city.

QCPD Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) operatives apprehended drug suspects Christian Paul Biona Guerra, 25, and Joel Costales Fernandez, 53, at about 9 p.m. on Thursday on EDSA near corner Kamuning Road in Brgy. Sacred Heart, Quezon City. Seized from the duo were six grams of shabu worth P4,080, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

Members of QCPD La Loma Police Station (PS 1) recovered a half gram of shabu worth P3,400 from Lynn Tamondong and Joseph Taño-An in Brgy. Manresa, Quezon City at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Another drug suspect, identified as Jackie Sibunga Lorenzo, 34, was arrested by QCPD Batasan Police Station (PS 6) at about 8:15 p.m. on the same day on Malasakit St. in Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City, after yielding shabu worth P6,800.

QCPD said all the suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
