Indigent cooperative members receive aid from CDA, PCSO's medical assistance program
Sixteen indigent members of micro and small cooperatives received medical assistance at the launching of Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO)'s Program on Medical Assistance for Cooperatives (PMAC).

CDA and PCSO, through a signed Memorandum of Agreement last March 7, 2022, established PMAC to bring health and medical assistance closer to qualified cooperative members in need.
CDA Assistant Secretary Myrla Paradillo said during the turnover ceremony on Dec. 15 that PMAC is "one of the CDA's most important programs."
It is also timely, given how the pandemic reminded the public how important it is to have an available financial assistance program, she added.
The PCSO-funded initiative will cover the beneficiaries' confinement, chemotherapy drugs, hemodialysis, specialty medicines, laboratory, and implant and medical devices.
CDA noted that interested applicants may visit their official website or inquire at their nearest CDA extension office for PMAC's further details and requirements.
CDA Undersecretary Joseph Encabo, Chairman of Committee on Health and Demography Senator Christopher "Bong", and other officials from respective agencies were also present at the event.
