The Seal of Good Local Governance is a program of the DILG that seeks to promote transparency and accountability in local governance.
In 2011, the DILG has bestowed on the Bulacan Provincial Government the Seal of Sound Financial Management and Seal of Good Housekeeping on Transparency and Accountability.
After four years, Bulacan was one of the recipients of the DILG's Seal of Good Local Governance Award. The province received the plaque of recognition and the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) worth P7 million as a package of incentive from the DILG in the awarding ceremony held at the Fontana Convention Center, Clark Field Pampanga.
In 2016, Bulacan was once again recognized and given its third SGLG during rites held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Pasay City.
The fourth SGLG was received by the province in 2018 when Bulacan reaped the result of its good governance during the SGLG awarding ceremony for Central and South Luzon held at the Manila Hotel, Tent City. The SGLG was received by the province during the 2019 SGLG awarding ceremony held at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel.
Bulacan local officials said that it has been a great honor for the province to be recognized as one of the outstanding provincial governments in Central Luzon that continues to exhibit good performance in internal housekeeping, particularly in the core assessment areas of financial administration, business-friendliness and competitiveness, and disaster preparedness.
