BAGUIO CITY -- Some 718 wanted persons were arrested during an intensified manhunt operation conducted by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) from January to November this year.
BCPO City Director Francisco Bulwayan told during the last quarter City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) meeting presided by Mayor Benjamin Magalong that he acknowledged the concerted efforts of BCPO, concerned citizens and stakeholders that resulted in the arrest of 718 wanted by law.
Of the arrested individuals, 199 were most wanted, while 519 were other wanted personalities.
The top wanted individuals are in the regional, city, provincial, municipal and police station levels.
The police also launched 173 operations against illegal drugs from Jan. to Nov. 2022 that resulted in the arrest of 219 drug pushers.
Also during that period, the police also seized 604.133 grams of shabu, 9,314.172 grams of Cannabis (Marijuana) and 10 Ecstasy tablets.
A compounded estimate shows the prohibited items worth P4,841,761.78 in the market.
There were also 110 surrendered and six confiscated firearms.
