2 brothers yield P204,000 shabu in Abra drug sting


SAN QUINTIN, Abra – Two brothers were arrested and suspected shabu valued at P204,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation here on Dec. 13.

The Abra Provincial Police Office said the suspects, Alexander Alcantara Agtual, 45, and Melvin Alcantara Agtual, 35, both residents of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, were nabbed after they sold shabu weighing 30 grams to a police poseur-buyer.

Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, cited the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the San Quintin Municipal Police Station (MPS) for the successful operation.

The Agtuals are in the custody of the San Quintin MPS and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
