Over P600K drugs, 14 suspects nabbed in QC in buy-busts

Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized P600,896 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 14 suspects in a series of buy-bust operations conducted from Tuesday, Dec. 13, to Wednesday, Dec. 14.

The QCPD said police seized more or less 70 grams of suspected shabu worth P476,000 from five suspects in Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

QCPD Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) identified the suspects as Delia dela Cruz, 62; Jessi Hablado, 42, both residents of Brgy. Culiat; and Alejandro Leal, 27; John Simon Baña, 28; and Jezer Yumol, 30, all residents of Brgy. Commonwealth.

In another buy-bust operation conducted by QCPD La Loma Police Station (PS 1), one Marcial Cerezo Cajucom, 49, of Tondo, Manila, was nabbed in Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday. He yielded five grams of shabu valued at P34,000.

Meanwhile, QCPD Masambong Police Station (PS 2) arrested John Lee Pangan, 19, of Brgy. Apolonio Samson, Quezon City after police confiscated from him two grams of “shabu” worth P13,600 during an entrapment operation on Wayan St. in Barangay Masambong at about 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday.

In a checkpoint manned by QCPD Anonas Police Station (PS 9), Bryan Caballero Juanillo, 37, of Brgy. UP Campus, Quezon City, was arrested after police found in his possession more or less 1.22 grams of “shabu” worth P8,296 at about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Malingap St. in Brgy. Teacher’s Village West, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, QCPD Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) confiscated five grams of “shabu” worth P3,400 from arrested drug suspects in a sting at EDSA, Brgy. Kamuning, Quezon City at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The suspects were identified as Anthony Somera Salcena, 48, of Brgy. San Antonio, Quezon City and Ma. Cecilia Gragasin del Rosario, 43, of Brgy. South Triangle, Quezon City

QCPD Galas Police Station (PS 11) also collared suspects Joey Andales, 31, and Rommel Napoles, 41, who yielded shabu worth P6,600 during an operation in Brgy. Dona Imelda, Quezon City, at about 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday.

QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) arrested Joseph Balanoyos, 45, of Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City and at about 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Alley 3, Howmart Road, Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City. Confiscated from him were eight grams of “shabu” valued at P52,000, a black pouch, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

QCPD Pasong Putik Police Station (PS 16) also nabbed a drug suspect, identified as Arnold Alano, 50, at Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City at about 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

QCPD said all suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
