The Department of Health (DOH) said it already submitted on Thursday, Dec. 15, the necessary documents on the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines to the Commission on Audit (COA).

In a statement, this move of the DOH is in accordance with the special audit to be conducted by COA for the Covid-19 vaccine procurements.

The Department will ensure continuous coordination with the COA for other documents and information that the commission will need),” the DOH said.

DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said that they are ready to answer queries about the vaccine procurement deals.

The Department of Health is ready to deal with any question regarding our vaccine procurement —as we are confident that all the processes carried out by the government in purchasing these vaccines were necessary in protecting our citizens and were in accordance with the law),” she said.

Previously, the DOH expressed readiness to coordinate with COA regarding the special audit for Covid-19 vaccine procurements. The Senate is currently conducting a probe on Covid-19 vaccine deals.
