DICT tackles digital cooperation initiatives with Spain

Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo paid a courtesy visit to Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Miguel Delgado to tackle digital cooperation initiatives between the Philippines and Spain.

Among the initiatives particularly discussed were cybersecurity, e-governance, connectivity, as well as artificial intelligence.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, Dec. 15, Lamentillo stressed that among the current administration’s priorities include the digitalization of government services and “expanding connectivity” to far flung areas in the country.

“This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Spain. We hope to build on that strong and enduring ties to forge cooperation on digitalization," said Lamentillo.
