BGen. Bazar orders deployment of 1,279 cops for ‘Ligtas Kapaskuhan 2022’ in Cordillera


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet -- In preparation for the observance of Simbang Gabi, Brig Gen. Mafelino Bazar, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, has ordered the deployment of personnel under the ‘Ligtas Kapaskuhan 2022’ to ensure the safety of the churchgoers and tourists who will visit the different churches in the region.

Based on the data from the Regional Operations Division (ROD), the PROCOR will be deploying 1,279 cops during the Holiday season, of which, 427 PROCOR personnel will be deployed for road monitoring and in the different transport terminals in the region.

For places of convergence and commercial areas, 852 personnel will be pre-positioned to secure public markets, parks, malls, and places of worship.

About 427 personnel will be assigned to the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) and are ready for deployment if the need arises.

In addition to the deployed PROCOR personnel, a total of 495 volunteers and force multipliers will also be mobilized as part of the security and crime prevention measures during the celebration of the long holiday.

Bazar reminds the public to always stay vigilant while enjoying the activities prepared for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.

He also encourages the public to immediately report any untoward incidents to the nearest police station.
