Barangays and ice cream brand, Aice, to distribute free ice cream to 2 million nationwide

Over the past few weeks, different barangays across the Philippines have collaborated with well-loved ice cream brand Aice in distributing free ice cream to the community for the holidays.

In line with their mission to spread happiness nationwide, Aice has enabled various barangays from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to treat their constituents to a holiday surprise: free ice cream! As of this writing, over 4,500 barangays, together with Aice, have distributed approximately 1.3 million ice cream products to celebrate the holidays and give thanks to their constituents. Aice is enthusiastic to partner with these barangays and by the end of 2022, the brand aims to distribute more than 2 million ice cream products through over 8,000 outlets nationwide.

From Aice’s wide roster of outlets, they choose eligible outlets based on the following criteria: safety, location and reach. The stores that were chosen have a significant reach in bigger communities. However, the brand and partner barangays still placed emphasis on safety to anticipate and properly manage hundreds of people per outlet.

“This holiday season, we want to bring happiness to small and large communities around the Philippines. Being in the business of ice cream feels like being in the business of happiness!” shares Aice Philippines General Manager Mr. Louis. “We’re thankful for the help of the different barangays that have helped us implement this project and we’re happy to see them enthusiastic about the same values we have. Aice is looking forward to have similar activities in the future.”
