Bacolod fisherman caught in possession of shabu worth P340,000

BACOLOD CITY - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental arrested a fisherman in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 6 here, with the confiscation of 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000 on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

The subject was identified as Benny Buenaventura, 21, of Barangay 2 here.

According to PDEA, the operation was conducted against the suspect after they received a report regarding his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

The supply of illegal drugs were reportedly sourced out from Barangay 2 also, the PDEA reported.

The suspect is considered a high value individual due to the amount of drugs recovered.

Charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs were filed against the suspect.
