3 arrested in San Mateo, Rizal buy-bust

Three persons were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation by operatives of the San Mateo Police Station resulting in the confiscation of some P163,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were Ryan Laurence Miranda alias Buboy, Mary Chris Javier, and John Christopher Gomila.

In a report to Rizal Police Provincial Director Col. Dominic Baccay, it was learned that a policeman, who acted as poseur buyer, was able to buy a sachet of shabu from Miranda which prompted the policemen to frisk Javier and Gomila leading to the discovery of six pieces of illegal drugs in Barangay Silangan, San Mateo shortly after midnight on Dec. 14.

Also found in the possession of the suspects were a handgun, a yellow pouch, along with some cash that were used during the buy-bust operation.

Police said the suspects are now detained at the Rizal PPO detention facility.
