“Wednesday” Addams continued to dominate viewers around the globe and set a record on Netflix.
Netflix released the weekly Global Top 10 list for Dec. 5 to 11, listing the most watched shows and films on the streaming platform.
“Wednesday,” starring Jenna Ortega, topped the English TV chart for the third week with 269.67 million hours viewed on Netflix.
As a result, “Wednesday” has now reached one billion hours viewed after debuting 341.23 million hours viewed from Nov. 21 to 27, and 411.29 million hours viewed Nov. 28 to Dec. 4.
This made “Wednesday” the third title on Netflix to reach one billion hours viewed in the first 28 days on the platform after “Squid Game,” which has 1.65 billion views, and “Stranger Things 4,” which has 1.35 billion hours viewed.
“Wednesday” is now the No. 2 on Netflix’s English TV Most Popular List, based on hours viewed in the first 28 days on the platform.
According to Netflix, since its debut, “Wednesday” has been viewed by more than 150 million households worldwide (1.02 billion hours viewed divided by 6.8 hours). From Dec. 5 to 11, “Wednesday” took the No. 1 spot in 90 countries and regions.
On the other hand, the Korean drama “Reborn Rich,” starring Song Joong-ki, Lee Sung-min, and Shin Hyun-been, garnered 16.81 million hours viewed to place fourth on the non-English TV chart on Netflix from Dec. 5 to 11.
