Brother International Philippines Corp. opened its fifth concept store in the Philippines at SM City Fairview in Quezon City on Dec. 9. The new establishment came after Brother opened its first concept store in Metro Manila at SM City North EDSA, Quezon City in November.

The three other Brother concept stores in the Philippines are located at SM City Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija, Limketkai in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, and Gaisano Mall in Davao City, Davao del Sur. The last one is the company’s first concept store in the country.

The new concept store showcases the company's complete lineup of inkjet printers, laser printers, multifunction printers, labeling machines, scanners, printer consumables, sewing machines, embroidery machines, and cutters.

“The Brother concept store is part of our commitment to giving shoppers an improved shopping experience. They can see the complete range of products, interact with the different features, and get recommendations from our experienced staff,” said Glenn Hocson, president of Brother Philippines.

Established in partnership with Upson International Corp., the company behind Octagon Computer Superstore, the new Brother concept store provides an additional avenue for consumers to buy and learn more about Brother products.

“Brother International Corporation Philippines and Upson have a strong relationship that has lasted for more than 20 years. These two brands have lifted each other up and have a beneficial partnership that will endure for many years more. We are always here to support Upson’s expansion and growth, and we know we can count on them with our own growth endeavors,” said Hocson.

“During the pandemic, many establishments were closing, but Octagon was expanding. They invited us to join their expansion, and we saw it as a good opportunity to showcase our technology. We hope that through our concept stores, we can reach more people,” he added.

“We look forward at the expansion of Upson as they target to open 400 stores for the next three years, according to their declaration. Part of that expansion is the establishment of Brother concept stores,” Hocson shared, adding that another concept store will open soon at SM Southmall in Las Piñas. Brother eyes to complete 20 concept stores in four years.

The new concept store also represents an additional investment of Brother and a strong confirmation that it here to stay in the country. The Japanese multinational company has a factory in Tanauan, Batangas, which produces inkjet printer products. Brother has 10,000 employees in the Philippines.
