Robbery suspect in Bacoor nabbed after gunfight with cops


BACOOR CITY, Cavite – Authorities collared a suspect allegedly responsible for a series of robberies in Bacoor and Imus on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Bacoor City Police Station (CPS) mobile patrollers caught Chelito C. Gloria, 41 years old, while reportedly robbing a delivery van of tobacco products in Barangay Molino III.

Gloria fired his gun at the policemen, prompting them to retaliate.

The suspect sustained a gunshot wound during the gunfight and was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. He is now in stable condition.

Recovered from his possession was a .45 Colt revolver loaded with live ammunition.

In a statement, Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the Cavite Police and Bacoor CPS for the successful arrest of the suspect.
